Monster Jam-Mobile
You know how bands have people that follow them to every show, well that's how I feel we are with Monster Jam. We took Parker to Pensacola, FL earlier this year for his first Monster Jam experience. He had a blast. We record different Monster Jam shows across the country for him weekly. Can you guess what his theme is for his birthday? He has so many monster trucks and plays with them daily. It's so funny to watch, he will take a box and through his truck in the air to make it look like they are jumping in the air to crush the box. Last night, Monster Jam was held at the Mobile Civic Center so we took Parker. My sister-in-law and her family joined us. I didn't get many pictures. Parker woke up at 6 yesterday morning and took a 1 hour nap so he was in a horrible mood by the time the show started at 7:30. He wanted some popcorn so Lee had to walk all the way around the Civic Center to find some and then Parker only ate maybe 1/3 of it. Ha, daddy wasn't happy. He was literally gone 15 minutes to get that popcorn. I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!

5 on Friday
I'm linking up again with Darci for 5 for Friday. It's been a busy week with lots of changes around my household. They are all 5 for Friday worthy!
1) I'm no longer a banker/loan officer at a bank. I accepted a position at State Farm and LOVE IT! The people are so nice and it's such a wonderful environement to be in. I'm really excited to see what God has in store for me & my family.
2) I turned 33 yesterday! Oh and I started my new job on my birthday. What was I thinkinkg, HA! It doesn't bother me being in my 30's. I have noticed I have way less energy & patience & MORE gray hair.
3) I spent Tuesday at the pool with Parker! He loves swimming at the pool. He's also a flirt. He loves to talk with the little girl's. It's not the best picture but it's the best I could get of him.
4) We are taking Parker to the Monster Jam tomorrow night. He's so excited. This will be his second time seeing them. My sister-in-law, brother-in-law and nephew are going with us. It should be lots of fun!
5) Guess who scored a major sale! This girl! Target had these sandles on clearance for $7.50.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Day Three: Who doesn't love Pintrest?
Todays topic is all about PINTREST! Really, does anyone not like Pintrest? On Mother's Day at church, the pastor was talking about us ladies always being on Pintrest and he asked how many crafts had we actually completed. I pin crafts, but honestly have never completed one. Now recipes, I've made a lot of the meals. I just thought it was funny for the pastor to bring it up. So today, I will share with you some of my favorite recipes that I have made.
Here is the link to my pintrest boards.
Sour Cream Noodle Bake
Spicy Sausage Pasta
Crockpot-Cube-Steak
Skinny Spaghetti Squash Alfredo
Pineapple Angel Food Cake
Crescent Chicken
Okay, so that's a few of my favorites that I have made. Enjoy!

Day Two: My Favorite...
Today is day two of Jenna's 4th Annual Commenting Challenge and it's about some of my favorite TV shows, books, etc. We did what some would consider the unthinkable a year ago. From April 2012-May 2013, we had no cable/satellite. We were able pick up local channels and a few extra's like PBS. PBS had cartoons so Parker was able to watch some really good shows like Super Why. During the week it was fine because we were only home for 3 or so hours before it was time for bed. We made it a priority to exercise when we got home from work. The weekends were a challenge so we were at RedBox ALOT! Finally, two months ago, we got cable. Guess what, we really watch to much TV. The DVR is always set to record something and there has been little exercise since then. So, what so I like to record/watch?!?
TV Shows
Big Brother
Real Housewives of New Jersey
Real Housewives of OC
Pretty Wicked Moms
Duck Dynasty (AKA Duck Pond by Parker)
Chicago Fire
Blue Bloods
The Good Wife
Criminal Minds
Giuliana and Bill
I also love to watch the Hallmark Channel. I could sit in my PJ's all day on a Saturday watching Hallmark movies and be happy as can be! Ha, like that would ever happen unless I was sick. A girl can only dream!
Books
Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers
Unglued by Lysa Terkeurst
I love James Patterson books as well.

All About Me
This week I'm participating in the 4th Annual Commenting Challenge hosted by Jenna's Journey! It's a great way to meet new bloggers. Click the link and join in on all the fun!
The first topic is "All About Me". If you are a first timer to my blog, welcome! My name is Christy. I live about 40 minutes from the beach on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Alabama with my wonderful husband, Lee, and our precious son, Parker. Lee and I will celebrate our 10 year anniversary on September 27. I'm still trying to wrap my head around that. I'm in full planning mode for Parker's 3rd birthday in September.
I started working in Finance while I was in college in 2001 and here I am 12 years later. I worked as a Mortage Loan Officer/Office Manger for 7 years and for 2 banks since then. I'm ready for a little change and will start a new job on August 1st with State Farm Insurance. I'm really excited about this opportunity that God has set infront of me.
We attend Bay Community Church in Spanish Fort, Alabama. I LOVE my church. Our pastor, Pastor Jerry, has a wonderful way of relating his message to everyday things that we go though. He really knows how to draw a crowd in.
On my blog, you will find some recipes, my attempt to get fit again but mainly just general happenings from our lives! I look forward to getting to know you!

Breakfast Recipe
I feel like I eat the same old thing for breakfast each week. It's typically Special K cereal, toast with peanut butter or a breakfast bar. My friend Monica has a blog with great recipes and now she has put up a facebook page, Meals by Monica, with current recipes she is making. Yesterday, she posted a waffle recipe and I decided to try it. It was so yummy and it kelp me full for hours! Go check her page out and try some recipes. I promise they will not disappoint.

Five for Friday
I'm linking up Darci for Five for Friday! I have a big announcment next week for Five for Friday but have to keep it a secret for a few more days. No, Parker is not having a little brother or sister so get that out of your head. LOL!
1) I got really great new this week on something I have been praying about.. I feel very strongly that this is part of His plan vs my plan. Sometimes we have to listen to Him and stop trying to take control!
2) My Mother-in-law is back in town for the month. We missed her last month while she was in Dallas. She is watching Parker for us tomorrow night while Lee & I enjoy and adult dinner.
3) Parker is learning his days of the week. He can now tell me what day it is with out me giving him hints. I'm a proud mama!
4) POOL TIME- We took Parker to the pool on Sunday and he had so much fun. Lee and I have decided that we will try and take him every Sunday this summer.
5) My sister is in Nursing school and decided to try and work while finishing so that she will have her foot in the door once she graduates. She was offered a job yesterday and she is thrilled!!!
Okay, I know it's not that much to be excited about but it's something. I turn the BIG 3-3 on Thursday. Wow, I'm getting old! Have a wonderful weekend.

She along with her sister and sister-in-law stayed up to 1:00 Saturday morning finishing the cake. Look at that cake, they made it. I'm sharing a ton of the pictures with you.

Family Fun Day
I was on vacation all week but Lee was able to have a 4 day weekend. Parker has never been to a movie at a theater so we decided to take him today and just make the day all about him. We started off with lunch at Stix with Hibachi. Parker has been there once before but he wasn't even one yet.
The flames scared him a little!
Next was the movie. It's been raining all day here in Baldwin County so the theater was PACKED! Kids were running everywhere. We decided to watch Despicable Me 2 and it was a great choice. All three of us loved it. Parker did so great and I was proud of him. He really enjoyed all the popcorn.
I couldn't resist a Monsters University picture. We will definitely be going back to watch it soon.
After the movie we decided to make a trip to Bass Pro Shop. Okay, I'm not going to lie, I can't stand that place. My boys love it so Mommy had to sacrifice. Funny story....I have been traveling a lot on the weekends back home for weddings, wedding showers and baby showers. Lee keeps Parker a lot because that long drive is not fun with an almost three year old. Lee is a big fisher so naturally our child would have an interest. For fun, they go to Bass Pro Shop and look at the fishing lures. Lee said Parker will look at all of them and they typically spend 45 minutes just so he can look at them all. Parker pays attention to detail because on our way to daycare every morning, he tells me when we get to the exit for Bass Pro that it's where daddy takes him to look at the fishing lures. It's soooo cute. In my child's room, you will find nothing but monster trucks and fishing lures. Of course, there are no hooks just in case you were wondering. Parker needed a new fishing rod to practice with so we found a cute one that he loved!
Look at that silly face!
After that we headed home. The rain had stopped and it felt so good outside so we decided to go to the part before we called it a day. Lee and I both had such a wonderful day. We really need to slow down in life and enjoy the days like today. Spending time as a family is very important and we often opt out of friend get together just so that the three of us can go do something together. God has blessed me and for that I am so grateful! Have a wonderful weekend!

Water Fun
On Saturday, we went over to our friends house, the Johnston's, for a cookout. Parker & Briley had a blast. They are 1 year apart in age and typically play around each other, just not really with each other. Well, I guess because of their age now, these two boys played so much together. It was so fun watching them. I can see lots of spend-the-night parties in our future! Maybe they will follow in their mommy's footsteps and become best friends and room together in college. The only problem that I can see is that Briley's daddy has molded him into an Alabama fan and Parker is Auburn! LOL, we shall see.
BEST FRIENDS!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMERICA!
