Jake and Holly are having a "Finish the Sentence" link-up and I have decided to join the fun. It's fun to look back at post like this years down the road just to see what you had to say.
1. If calories didn't count, I would eat...Spaghetti with cheese garlic bread! I still make Spaghetti once or twice a month because Parker loves it but we don't eat bread with it. I would also eat my weight in those yummy sugar cookies with the icing on it from Walmart. YUMM
2. On my Prom night....I had a blast with my friends. I went with a friend, Mark.
3. When I go to the store, I always buy...Yogurt, chicken breast and Butterball Turkey patties.
4. Family functions typically...eating and socializing.
5. I think my blog readers...are some of the nicest people. Anytime I email someone, they are so helpful!
6. I'd much rather be.....home in bed. I was out of the office yesterday because I once again have strep throat. Fun, oh fun!
7. I have an obsession with....facial products. I love makeup and face cleaners, etc. Most people like to spend money on shoes and clothes, not me. Hopefully I will look 40 when I'm 50. Seriously, who would spend $100 for a container of Rodan and Fields Mico Derm paste? LOL, worth every penny and it last a long time. I bought it in October and I have used only half of it. I use it 4-5 times a week.
8.My work friends...are always up for a movie. I love to go watch a movie at the Theater and I can always count on them to do that.
9. When I created my Facebook account....I'm not sure what I was thinking. I mainly use it to keep up with what's going on in every one's world. I spend way to much time on social media and I wish I never got sucked in.
10. My least favorite word is...bullet. I was talking to the ladies at work about purchasing a magic bullet, A BLENDER.
11. I really don't remember....very little. People always pick on me because I will remember the little things from the past. I actually remember a lot from my childhood.
12. Justin Bieber....why has he started dressing like a thug?

Our Weekend
We had a great weekend, despite the rain on Saturday. Parker has had lots of fun playing with his monster trucks. Lee's grandmother lives at a retirement home so we went to visit her today after church. He likes to sit on her walker.
He may be upset with me for this in a few years. He needed to go to the potty and this is how I found him. This kid cracks me up.
March Madness, Cowboy style!
Being silly with Mommy!
Is that not the cutest smile ever! Love him.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Parenting
No one said it was going to be easy to parent a child, but I didn't realize it would be so hard at times. I remember the first couple of months being a new parent and all I worried about was making sure my baby was feed, bathed, pooped, etc. Those days were actually easy compared to taking care of a toddler. Parker is such a sweet and lovable child. People are always coming up to me in a store telling me how cute he is. I think he melts them with his smile. We are having major issues with listening and hitting. Now, he does listen to his daddy but not mommy. Here are a few examples from the weekend:
1) Lee went out of town on Friday to go Turkey hunting and fishing so it was just little man and I until Saturday night. I picked Parker up from daycare and headed to Walmart. We were going to my hometown for a baby shower early the next day and I needed to get a gift. I decided while I was in there to grab a few items that I knew that we needed. BIG MISTAKE!!! It all started when we got out of the car and he wanted to walk. I told him know because we don't allow his to walk in a parking lot. So he screams and all the girl scout mom's look at me like I'm crazy as we walk in the door. I let him down at that point and told him he has to stay right by me or we would make a trip to the bathroom. You know as well as I do, I wasn't going to take him to the bathroom. He would run in front of other people, run way ahead of me down an isle, etc. I was give out from constantly telling him to come back. I typically never take him to the store with me, and you see why.
2) We leave Daphne around 7:10 Saturday morning to head up to Chatom. Typical toddler, he needs to potty and there is no station around. He said he could hold it so within 5 minutes we were at a gas station. I get to the door and there is a sign that says "BATHROOM OUT OF ORDER, SORRY!" I know my poor child can't hold it for 15 more minutes so I pull to the side of the building, open both passenger doors and let him do him business. My aunt watched Parker while I went to the baby shower. I picked him up around 1:30 and took him over to play with my friends little boy. We get there and he would not listen to me and kelp hitting Max. I know her parents think I can't control my child, and they may actually be right. I was so disappointed. We head back to my grandmother's house so I could get him ready to go take Easter pictures. He kelp doing the opposite of what I was telling him to do. Pictures went great and finally at 6:00 we were on the road home which is about 1 hour 20 minutes. I know he was acting up because he had not taken a nap and that's my fault. The drive went okay for the first 20 minutes and he pitched a fit about every little thing the rest of the way home. My blood was boiling by the time I got home. I felt like the biggest failure of a mom because I had allowed my child to treat me like crap the past 2 days.
I hate being the mean one but I know I have to be consistent and make him mind me. He doesn't treat his daddy like that and he should not treat me like that. It's okay to be stern and for him to know when I mean business. I love being a mommy and love every minute I have with Parker. If I continue to let him "run over me" as my husband says, it will only get worse.

Blogger Biggest Loser: The Finale
Well, the end is here. Having the weekly weigh-in has kelp me accountable, which is what I need. I could have done better. I haven't logged in my meals with My Fitness Pal in three weeks but started back today.
I lost 6.2 pounds during the challenge. I was really hoping to lose 10 pounds, but that did'nt happen. My running has increased and I have managed to drink more water. Now that the time has changed, I will be running 2x during the week and long runs on the weekend. I may link up with another group to help my motivation. Good Luck to everyone! Thanks JAVA MAMA for the challenge.

Tomorrow we have church then a friend and I are running 6 miles. My half marathon is in 4 weeks so I need to step up my training. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Monster Jam 2013
Parker loves Monster trucks. During Christmas, every time you ask him what Santa was bringing him, his response was monster trucks. So, when we found out Monster Jam was coming to Pensacola, Florida, we decided to take Parker. Pensacola is only 30-40 minutes from Daphne. He was so excited all week. He told us he was going to watch the monster truck and they crush the cars. It was so much fun and very loud. We had ear plugs so that helped. Grave Digger was Parker's favorite. I'm sure we will make the trip every year. The look of excitement on his face was priceless!
